Job summary

GHD in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in water and wastewater conveyance to lead complex infrastructure projects in the Central US. You will manage multidisciplinary design and construction teams, oversee scope, schedule, and budgets, and ensure successful delivery of pipelines, pump stations, and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in environmental or civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire within six months.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal projects in the Central US.
• Experience with desalination, water/wastewater treatment, conveyance and pump stations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to schedule and budget.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; concise technical writing.
• Knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies including TCEQ and EPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater conveyance projects, including pipelines, force mains, gravity sewers, and pump stations.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality across all phases.
• Coordinate with clients, permitting agencies, contractors, and internal technical teams.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide mentoring to engineering staff to support the team's technical skill development.
• Manage projects’ budget and schedule.
• Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; engage in business development, sales and marketing.
