Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Technical Lead in conveyance to shape water infrastructure projects for municipal clients in New England. Lead planning, design and delivery of urban storm drain, sewer and drinking water conveyance projects, with a hybrid in-office/remote arrangement.

You will work with a cross-disciplinary team, drive business development, and deliver technically complex projects while mentoring staff and expanding client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental/civil) from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, focus on conveyance and water infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
• Travel to other offices as well as project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians.
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
• Perform business development actions to increase project wins and develop client relationships.
• Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned projects across multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and prepare documentation for permits.
• Establish goals and objectives for complex projects and ensure delivery on budget and schedule.
• Oversee proposals and scope development for comparable-size projects.
