Job summary

Heritage Auctions, the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer, seeks a specialist to obtain consignments of fine timepieces and authenticate items. You will negotiate terms, prepare catalog descriptions, and market consignments to high-value clients from our Beverly Hills offices.

The role requires 5+ years in Timepieces at a major auction house or as a watch dealer, with strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Timepieces within a major auction house or as a watch dealer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source quality consignments from private collectors, trade dealers and retailers.
• Authenticate property and evaluate condition when estimating.
• Negotiate consignor terms under company guidelines.
• Create and proofread catalog descriptions and marketing materials.
• Market specific consignments to valued clients.
• Review settlements and wires.
• Attend trade shows to obtain consignments and develop partnerships.
• Assist with processing incoming consignments and paperwork.
