Job summary

Heritage Auctions Chicago is seeking a consignments professional to secure quality timepiece consignments from private collectors, trade dealers, and retailers. You will supervise authentication, prepare catalog descriptions, and market consignments to valued clients.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Responsible for obtaining consignments of fine timepieces, including antique pocket watches, vintage wristwatches, and high‑end modern watches.

LOCATION:

Heritage Auctions Chicago office, 222 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, IL 60654

COMPENSATION:

$75,000 - $125,000 (Commensurate based on experience).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source quality consignments from private collectors, trade dealers, and retailers
• Supervise the vetting of conditions and authenticate properties consigned

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience as a watch dealer and/or in a major auction house working environment with a focus in watches and fine timepieces

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
• Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills
• Public speaking talents are a plus!
