Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the water/wastewater treatment facility.
• Inspect treatment plant, well sites, and storage systems.
• Add chemicals such as ammonia, chlorine, or lime.
• Inspect equipment and monitor meters/gauges for loads/defects.
• Collect and test water and sewage samples and analyze results.
• Record data on specified forms and keep records.
• Maintain, repair, and lubricate equipment with tools.
• Clean and maintain tanks, filter beds, and work areas.
• Direct plant workers during routine operations and maintenance.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of pumps, chlorinators, etc.
• Perform operator duties during shifts or emergencies.
• Operate and maintain belt press.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep records.
• Operate various lab equipment, trucks, backhoe, and tools.
• Clean work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
