Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced wastewater project engineer in Colorado to lead detailed designs for pipelines, treatment plants and related infrastructure.

You will coordinate multi-discipline teams across locations and guide studies, simulations and plans for complex wastewater projects. The role requires a strong background in engineering design, specifications, sizing and client collaboration, with responsibility for quality control and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field required.

Responsibilities

• Independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other wastewater systems
• Manage and coordinate multi-discipline teams from separate locations to produce high level, high quality deliverables
• Guide the planning and execution of complex and multi-disciplinary studies, simulations, and plans for wastewater infrastructure projects
• Take responsibility for engineering/process design, project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection, and working directly with our Clients to provide an outstanding delivery experience.
• Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions
• Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs
• Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of wastewater systems
• Serve as a project manager on water/wastewater projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
