Job summary

KION Group AG is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering Warehouse Control System solutions for customer projects. You will drive people leadership, engineering management, and portfolio oversight to ensure successful delivery, strong customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across projects.

You will guide staffing, mentor engineers, coordinate with project managers, sales, and solution development, and serve as a senior escalation point for customer concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in industrial automation or related fields.
• 3+ years of people management or technical leadership.
• Experience leading software project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience forecasting staffing and project workforce requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Customer-facing leadership experience managing expectations and escalations.
• Preferred: Experience with WCS/WES/WMS/EMS or automation software.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software delivery best practices.
