Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Software Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering Warehouse Control System (WCS) solutions for customer projects. You will partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery, proactive issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

You will oversee staffing, project estimates, risk assessments, and solution planning while driving standardization and continuous improvements in engineering delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering in automation or related industries.
• 3+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading technical teams in software project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and balancing priorities.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience forecasting staffing and project resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering organization delivering warehouse software solutions across projects.
• Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and project portfolio management for multiple customer engagements.
• Serve as senior escalation point for customer concerns, risks, and delivery challenges.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, sales, and engineering leadership to align expectations and delivery plans.
• Support architecture reviews, execution planning, and risk mitigation.
• Drive standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement in engineering delivery.
• Travel up to 15% to support customer engagements and project milestones.
