Job summary

Miebach is seeking a Senior Consultant to optimize warehouse operations across distribution networks. You will assess sites, identify gaps, and guide leadership toward best-in-class performance. The role emphasizes credible, hands-on advisory work rather than running operations.

Ideal candidates will have launched DCs, stabilized sites, or led turnaround initiatives, with strong knowledge of layout, material flow, and labor planning. Travel is frequent and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience.
• Experience in launching new distribution centers or stabilizing sites.
• Strong understanding of layout, flow, and workforce planning.
• Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS/LMS/ERP/automation).
• Ability to diagnose issues and propose pragmatic improvements.
• Excellent communication and leadership with frontline teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site in warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational maturity assessments across warehouse sites.
• Evaluate layout, material flow, zoning, slotting, and infra.
• Assess planning including SOPs, KPIs, labor organization, governance.
• Identify performance gaps relative to best practices.
• Develop site-specific improvement roadmaps.
• Guide leadership through improvement initiatives.
• Support deployment of operational excellence standards.
• Monitor progress and address barriers during implementation.
• Coach site leadership on performance management and discipline.
