Job summary

Maersk Warehousing & Distribution Services USA LLC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate and oversee daily activities in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials. You will plan workloads, assign tasks, and ensure efficient operations across a 20+ person team in a busy warehouse environment.

The role emphasizes staffing optimization, adherence to procedures, payroll oversight, and maintaining inventory accuracy while enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers involved in receiving, storing, shipping materials and stock control; plans workloads and assigns duties.

Responsibilities

• Review inbound appointment log and open order report daily to plan work activities.
• Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly.
• Assign workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Maintain safety procedures and communicate changes to warehouse staff.
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by function and department.
