Job summary

Bunzl Distribution in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an Operations Manager to ensure fulfillment and distribution requirements are met, supervise front-line supervisors and hourly associates, and uphold safety and inventory controls within budget. This role anchors our newest Texas location.

You will oversee orders, drive productivity, improve accuracy and customer service, train staff on safe practices, and develop supervisors to maximize performance. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education/relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in complex, high SKU warehouse distribution environments.
• Technical knowledge of distribution/operations systems including WMS & RF Scanning, automated packaging, experience with powered industrial vehicles and conveyors.
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Demonstrated success in staff development, and project management.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and decision‑making skills.
• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, compliance, and incident investigation procedures.
• Experience with Koerber 1 / High Jump WMS is a plus.
• This position may require occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervisors and associates to ensure orders are properly processed and shipped out to customers for timely delivery.
• Assist in development of productivity & accuracy standards. Ensure acceptable quality control standards are met.
• Work to improve accuracy, customer service and quality levels.
• Analyze and improve departmental processes and procedures.
• Ensure department associates are properly trained on safe work practices. Support and champion an overall safe work environment.
• Development of supervisors to coach, counsel and motivate staff for optimum performance and morale.
• Ensure communication and teamwork among staff to aid in the department objectives. Provide on-the-job training for all associates.
• Communicate company and HR policies to associates and ensure fair application.
• Monitor operational policies and procedures for efficient processing and delivery and customer service excellence.
