Job summary

Bunzl Distribution is seeking an Operations Manager for our Dallas facility to oversee fulfillment and distribution activities, ensuring safety and inventory controls within budget. You will direct front line supervisors and hourly staff at our newest location in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities include supervising order processing, driving productivity standards, maintaining quality, and coaching teams to achieve targets while adhering to OSHA and safety policies. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in complex, high SKU warehouse distribution environments.
• Technical knowledge of distribution/operations systems including WMS & RF scanning, automated packaging.
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Demonstrated success in staff development and project management.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and decision-making skills.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations, compliance and incident investigation procedures.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• Analyze and improve departmental processes and procedures.

• Develop supervisors to coach and motivate staff for optimum performance and morale.
• Foster communication and teamwork to achieve department objectives; provide on-the-job training.
• Communicate and enforce company and HR policies consistently and fairly.
• Monitor policies and procedures to ensure efficient order processing and delivery with excellent customer service.

Job description

• Pay or shift range: $85,000 USD to $90,000 USD The salary range is based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications and geographic location.

Description

The Operations Manager will ensure execution of our customers’ fulfillment and distribution requirements, monitor, and maintain proper safety and security controls, and support appropriate inventory integrity controls within budget requirements, be responsible to provide direction to front line supervisors and hourly associates within the Retail Services newest location building in Dallas, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee supervisors and associates to ensure orders are properly processed and shipped out to customers for timely delivery.
• Assist in development of productivity & accuracy standards. Ensure acceptable quality control standards are met.
• Work to improve accuracy, customer service and quality levels.
• Analyze and improve departmental processes and procedures.
• Ensure department associates are properly trained on safe work practices. Support and champion an overall safe work environment.
• Development of supervisors to be able to effectively coach, counsel and motive staff for attainment of optimum performance, productivity and morale.
• Ensure communication and teamwork among staff to aid in the accomplishment of the department objectives. Provide continued on-the-job training for all associates.
• Ensure all company and HR policies and practices are communicated to associates and practiced consistently and fairly (i.e. Attendance policy, Workers Comp programs, etc.).
• Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective processing and delivery of orders, as well as excellence in customer service levels.
• This is not an all-inclusive list; other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education/ relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in complex, high SKU warehouse distribution environments is required.
• Technical knowledge of distribution/operations systems including WMS & RF Scanning, automated packaging, experience with powered industrial vehicles and conveyors is required.
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Demonstrated success in staff development, and project management.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and decision‑making skills.
• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, compliance, and incident investigation procedures.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Experience with Koerber 1 / High Jump WMS is a plus.
• This position may require occasional travel.
