Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II to oversee warehouse operations across the network, directing strategy, people, and performance. Lead a team of Operations Managers, drive cost efficiency, safety, and service quality in a fast-paced distribution environment.

This leadership role reports to senior management and shapes processes that affect multiple facilities, leveraging WMS and automation. Excellent communication and vendor management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• WMS experience preferred.
• P&L management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
• Develop strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, fostering a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed; maintain a safe, clean, efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation, and technology to track inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels for decision-making.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the site's P&L and coordinate with customers per the contract.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers.
