Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a General Manager II - Distribution to oversee national warehouse operations, ensure safe, efficient processes, and lead a team of Operations Managers. The role emphasizes strategic process improvements, cost control, and strong customer relations across multiple facilities.

The position requires 5+ years of managerial experience, 2+ years in warehousing/distribution, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with WMS experience and 3PL/contract logistics knowledge

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics (preferred).
• Staff management experience required.
• P&L management (preferred).
• Project management (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred).
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff with coaching and culture-building.
• Ensure safety regulations and policies are followed; maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation, and technology to track inventory and drive improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services within the agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on performance, inventory, and other metrics for decisions.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the site's P&L and present Monthly/ Quarterly Business Reviews to customers.
