Job summary

Genesee Scientific Corporation is seeking a Sr. Warehouse Associate in Raleigh, NC to ensure accurate, on-time product delivery and to support a safe, efficient warehouse environment. You will work with a team to train others, create SOPs, manage orders, and maintain inventory with attention to detail.

The role includes HazMat responsibilities, forklift operation, and occasional local delivery, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a stockroom or warehouse.
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain if not held.
• Familiarity with FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and mentoring new associates, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to operational standards.
• Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions.
• Process customer orders daily to meet customer expectations efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with proper storage and organization of products.
• Assist with inventory audits/cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure all products are packaged and labeled correctly according to SOPs, including documentation for hazardous materials.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and enhance productivity.
• Identify areas for process improvement and participate in initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.
• Hazardous materials (HazMat) certification or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Complete local delivery routes as needed, including loading products, operating a delivery vehicle, delivering up to 60lbs, and interacting with customers clearly and professionally.
• Operate PIT equipment as needed to move, stage, load, and unload materials.
• Communicate professionally with peers and leadership.
