Job summary

MHS Lift, a leader in warehouse automation, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive design and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions across North America. You will lead vendor relationships, develop innovative systems, and guide projects from discovery through startup.

The role requires 7+ years in material handling or warehouse automation, CAD literacy, and strong communication. Travel and a valid driver’s license are expected as you collaborate with engineering and sales

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
7+ years designing and implementing material handling or warehouse automation solutions.
Ability to read architectural, operational, and CAD drawings.
Experience developing technical solutions for warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead relationships with automation vendors including conveyors, AMR/AGV, robotics, and software providers.
Develop automation solutions aligned with customer objectives.
Conduct customer site assessments and discovery meetings with the sales team.
Mentor engineering and sales teams on automation technologies and design principles.
Support the creation of system layouts, engineering drawings, proposals, and solution presentations.
Oversee engineering, approvals, and order processing for automation projects.
Collaborate with Project Managers to establish project milestones, sequencing, and successful project execution.
Support system commissioning and startup activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in final project walkthroughs and client acceptance.
Build long-term customer relationships delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.
