Job summary

FormFactor Inc. in Livermore, CA seeks a Senior Production Planner- Wafer to translate demand, capacity, and material readiness into an integrated fab plan.

You will manage complex wafer-fab flows, align execution to plans, and lead cross-functional resolution of constraints affecting starts, cycle time, WIP, and on-time delivery. The role requires 8+ years in production planning, strong expertise in APS/ERP systems, and the ability to work onsite with cross-functional teams including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations experience, preferably in semiconductor wafer fab.
• Demonstrated expertise in planning re-entrant manufacturing flows and integrating demand, capacity, WIP, yield, and constraints into schedules.
• Proficiency with ERP/MIS/APS systems; strong analytical skills using Excel and BI tools.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and to communicate risks and trade-offs clearly.
• Willingness to work onsite and support priority fab issues outside regular hours.
• Experience with semiconductor wafer fab processes and tech transfers; NPI exposure.
• Knowledge of dispatching logic, constraint-based scheduling, cycle-time modeling, and OEE.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage short-, mid-, and long-range wafer fab production plans including starts, lot release timing, and recovery priorities.
• Translate demand, backlog, forecasts, and product mix into time-phased schedules across re-entrant flows.
• Balance cycle time, WIP, throughput, yield, capacity, and materials to protect commitments.
• Lead planning reviews, monitor execution, and adjust schedules to changing conditions.
• Develop scenario analyses for demand changes, tool downtime, and NPI ramps; present trade-offs.
