Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, CA is seeking a Senior Production Planner- Wafer to own the wafer fab master plan and align demand, capacity, and execution. You will translate priorities into executable schedules across re-entrant processes, balancing cycle time, WIP, and throughput.

The role demands leading cross-functional planning decisions with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, driving improvements in planning data, analytics, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations experience in semiconductor wafer fab or similar.
• Experience in planning re-entrant manufacturing flows and integrating constraints into schedules.
• Proficient ERP/MES/APS experience with Excel and BI tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional planning decisions and communicate risks clearly.
• Ability to work onsite and support after-hours when needed.
• Experience with wafer fab processes, NPI, capacity expansions, and technology transfers.
• Knowledge of dispatching logic, constraint-based scheduling, OEE, throughput, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own short-, mid-, and long-range wafer fab plan with starts and release timing.
• Translate demand, backlog, and product mix into time-phased schedules.
• Balance cycle time, WIP, throughput, yield, and capacity objectives.
• Develop recovery plans, alternate routings, load balancing, and WIP strategies.
• Lead planning reviews and align shop-floor execution to the master plan.
• Maintain a single plan across ERP, MES, and dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvements in planning methods and tools.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Equipment, and Supply Chain.
