Job summary

EY in the US is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and operate web application firewalls, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will implement policies using Cloudflare and Imperva, leverage Terraform for IaC, and mentor junior engineers while helping maintain a strong security posture across client environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of web application security operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Proficiency with Terraform for IaC automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions for web apps.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of WAFs and ensure performance.
• Monitor traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Analyze security incidents and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams on investigations.
