Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and manage web application firewalls across client environments. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents to maintain secure web applications.

Work with Cloudflare and Imperva, and leverage Terraform for IaC to automate deployments. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and contributing to a strong security posture within a hybrid, client-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years in web application security operations with WAF focus.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions for web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments and promote policy adherence.
• Stay current with threats and security technologies to enhance posture.
• Utilize Cloudflare and Imperva for implementation and management; automate with IaC where possible.
• Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
