Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Vulnerability Engineer to design, implement, and improve vulnerability protections across people, products, partners, platforms, and production. You will independently assess risks, translate findings into remediation priorities, and influence decisions across infrastructure, cloud, application, and manufacturing domains.

You will lead enterprise vulnerability management, coordinate patching, and drive risk-based remediation with stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity, CS, engineering, or IT.
• Significant experience in cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, security operations, cloud/infrastructure security.
• Proven expertise in enterprise vulnerability management across servers, networks, and endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management program improvements across enterprise infrastructure, endpoints, multi-cloud, and AI security domains.
• Drive remediation prioritization, patch coordination, and governance for critical infrastructure and environments.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to translate findings into actionable remediation plans and drive timely closure of high-risk issues.
• Support and mature core vulnerability functions: asset discovery, scanning, risk scoring, and reporting.
• Mentor engineers and remediation owners; provide guidance to security stakeholders.
