Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Vulnerability Engineer to design, implement, and mature vulnerability capabilities across GM’s risk domains. You will advise remediation priorities, influence across infrastructure, cloud, and manufacturing, and mentor remediation partners.

You will lead vulnerability management for enterprise data centers, endpoints, and multi-cloud environments while driving continuous improvement and governance across detection, scoring, and automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Significant professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, security operations, cloud security, or related domains.
• Experience with enterprise vulnerability management platforms, scanners, and workflow tooling such as Qualys, Tenable, Wiz, ServiceNow or comparable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and continuous maturity of GM Vulnerability Management core services.
• Drive vulnerability management across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Build AI security threat vulnerability management capabilities for AI workloads.
• Correlate findings with asset, telemetry, and threat-intelligence context to improve prioritization.
• Partner with stakeholders to convert findings into remediation plans and accelerate closure of high‑risk issues.
