Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java and AI Engineer – Vice President to lead design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge FX and equities platforms. You will work across Prime Brokerage solutions, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with quants, product teams, and FX technology staff.

You will mentor peers, drive best practices, and ensure scalable, low-latency software delivering high-value business outcomes.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in STEM or equivalent education.
10+ years of proven software engineering and development experience.
Strong experience with Java, Spring, and ultra-low-latency development practices.
Solid SQL/databases expertise and messaging systems (Kafka, MQ).
Familiarity with AI coding tools and delivering production-grade apps.
Experience building new systems and replacing legacy solutions.

Responsibilities

Hands-on implementation of Prime Brokerage solutions across FX and Equities using modern cloud-native tech.
Drive system architecture design, collaborate with end-users, and maintain documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across teams.
Contribute to development lifecycle improvements and ensure production readiness.
Provide 3rd line production support and ensure operational stability.
