Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project seeks a senior fundraising leader to grow and diversify institutional revenue through corporate partnerships, foundations, workplace giving, sponsorships, and peer-to-peer events.

The VP of Institutional Giving leads a nationwide team, oversees strategy, revenue performance, and budget management, and collaborates with senior leaders to secure transformational funding opportunities and long-term mission impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of foundation and corporate giving; trends and strategies.
• Ability to close large corporate partners and transformational foundation gifts.
• Strong data analysis to guide fundraising decisions.
• Leadership and people development of a geographically dispersed team.
• 10+ years nonprofit fundraising experience and 8+ years staff management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year strategy focused on increasing revenue from corporations, foundations, and the peer-to-peer sector.
• Establish annual and long-range fundraising goals and performance metrics.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, partnerships, sponsorships, and innovative revenue streams.
• Lead cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, and stewardship strategies for high-value institutional partnerships and grants.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align funding opportunities with programs and priorities.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing national team of fundraising professionals.
• Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and industry forums to raise visibility.
