Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a deeply technical Head of Enterprise Architecture to own the target-state design of the technology estate and its governance. You will lead through technical authority, authoring reference architectures and defending standards across a large, federated organisation.

You will shape AI infrastructure and cross-domain patterns, drive estate rationalisation, and collaborate with senior leaders to align architecture with strategy and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on engineering and architecture career culminating in principal-architect or enterprise-architecture leadership roles.
• Proven delivery of enterprise-wide architecture programmes across multi-cloud and hybrid estates at material scale.
• Deep expertise across cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, distributed systems, event streaming, API and integration patterns, infrastructure-as-code and zero-trust security.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise technology blueprint across infrastructure, cloud, security, data and applications; chair governance bodies and drive fast architectural decisions.
• Define and govern the enterprise pattern library across infrastructure, cloud, integration, security and AI/ML domains with a formal maturity model.
• Define AI infrastructure reference architecture and patterns, including model serving, inference optimization and governance for regulated workflows.
• Lead estate rationalisation and cost transparency initiatives, optimizing spend and capital allocation for AI and cloud.
• Build and lead a global architecture team; establish a community of practice to scale influence across engineering.
