Job summary

State Street seeks an experienced technology leader and solutions architect with data engineering, enterprise app development and AI expertise. You will lead architecture for Repo, Collateral, Asset Management and related Global Markets platforms, translating business needs into scalable tech solutions.

You will guide engineering teams across data, apps and AI initiatives, engaging senior stakeholders and setting future‑state architecture with detailed designs and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in IT with software engineering, data engineering and architecture.
• Extensive financial services domain experience across modern platforms.
• Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams and complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture, design and engineering strategy for financial apps and data platforms.
• Define requirements, roadmaps, estimates and implementation plans with stakeholders.
• Design scalable enterprise apps using microservices, APIs, Spring Boot and data pipelines.
• Lead data architectures, ETL/ELT, real‑time integrations, and analytical platforms.
• Provide hands‑on guidance across Python, SQL, Oracle, and performance tuning.
• Apply Generative AI, RAG and AI governance to enterprise workflows.
• Mentor teams, review architecture and code, and manage critical production issues.
