Job summary

Pibank USA in Florida seeks a Commercial Loan Officer to drive loan production while ensuring credit standards are met. The role requires strong credit, analytical, and communication abilities, with emphasis on relationship-building and portfolio oversight.

The position involves active prospecting for new commercial loan relationships, building a robust referral network, representing the bank at community events, and maintaining an accurate loan pipeline.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a lender with a South Florida based bank.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and sales skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is preferred.
• Sound credit and analytical skills related to loan screening and underwriting.
• Excellent presentation skills and public speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned annual loan production goals.
• Actively and efficiently prospect for new commercial loan customer relationships.
• Develop and cultivate an effective new business referral network through existing customers, accountants, attorneys and business associates.
• Represent the Bank and actively participate in Community organizations and events.
• Be fully cognizant of the Bank’s Credit Policies and adhere to them.
• Generate a loan pipeline that is replenished as loans are closed and booked.
• Document calling efforts on prospect/customer visits.
• Actively manage the assigned loan portfolio and monitor documentation.
• Prepare initial cursory credit analysis for new prospect and present for underwriting.
• Coordinate with Underwriter and support the underwriting process.
• Present fully underwritten loans to Credit Committee and Board when required.
• Participate in the closing process and ensure proper booking and disbursement.
• Respond to customer needs with Ownership and Urgency.
• Be a Team player and collaborate across Bank areas.
• Maintain organized files and timely follow-up to meet customer expectations.
• Strive for Excellence and Results Oriented.
• Complete required Bank trainings and OFAC/BSA compliance.
