Job summary

SiriusPoint in New York seeks a VP, Catastrophe Modeler to lead complex analyses, model portfolios and provide insights to brokers and clients. You will manage data for input into catastrophe models and pricing tools, ensuring data quality and timely reporting.

Reporting to the Head of Catastrophe Risk Pricing and Analytics, you will stay current with software updates, deliver risk analyses, and contribute to ad-hoc risk reporting for the global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry with focus on modeling and portfolio management.
• Strong data management skills and familiarity with exposure data formats.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses, model portfolios and deliver insights to the team.
• Manage data for input into catastrophe models and pricing tools.
• Ensure data quality by working with brokers, clients, and colleagues.
• Prepare and deliver reports on risk measures and analyses.
• Stay current with third party software updates and model changes.
