Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Volunteer Services Senior Specialist to lead recruitment and engagement for the North Chapter, covering the top 29 parishes. You will develop strategies, screen applicants, and place volunteers to meet operational goals.

You will coach teams, refine engagement approaches, assess needs with stakeholders, and support event-based volunteer plans to strengthen the volunteer network. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Travel within the top 29 parishes.

Responsibilities

• Develop broad-based recruitment strategies to attract volunteers.
• Support programs and initiatives to engage volunteers.
• Screen, refer, and place volunteers to meet needs.
• Provide coaching to volunteer teams and share best practices.
• Create needs assessments and align goals with stakeholder input.
• Assist with Event Based Volunteer plans.
• Collaborate with staff to strengthen partnerships.
• Maintain records and report on recruitment progress.
