Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Volunteer Services Senior Specialist to lead recruitment and engagement across the North Chapter, covering the top 29 parishes. You will screen, refer, and place volunteers, build partnerships with organizations, and drive engagement through targeted outreach and events.

Strong leadership, coaching, and MS Office skills are essential. You will work with a team to develop needs assessments, coordinate orientations, and monitor progress toward regional volunteer

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Volunteer management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement broad-based recruitment strategies to attract volunteers.
Support programs and initiatives to increase volunteer engagement.
Screen, refer, and place prospective volunteers to meet regional goals.
Provide coaching to volunteer teams and share engagement best practices.
Develop volunteer needs assessments for the assigned area.
Assist with executing the Event Based Volunteer plan.
Coordinate orientations, placements, meetings and events.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align goals with volunteer needs.
