Job summary

State of Florida in Tallahassee seeks a Telecommunications Consultant to design, implement, and maintain the Department’s network infrastructure, VoIP UCaaS, and related voice/data systems. You will lead engineering efforts, track and validate telecom invoices with carriers and vendors, and maintain all phone systems and documentation.

The role requires CJIS access approval, a security background check, and adherence to departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional voice network engineering experience with performance tuning.
• Four years' experience with Cisco routing, switching, and security.
• Three years' experience with telecom, finance, or auditing, including invoice reconciliation.
• Two years' experience with VoIP systems and IP protocols.
• Experience with Contact Center Solutions (Cisco, Five9, Genesis).
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer for network services including design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Track, review, and validate telecommunications invoices; liaise with carriers and vendors.
• Maintain Department phone systems, hardware, software, and documentation.
• Analyze, develop, test, implement, and monitor network infrastructure and UCaaS.
