Job summary

GSK is seeking a proactive Product Owner to own and prioritise the backlog for platform and infrastructure work, ensuring every item links to D&T strategy and domain OKRs. You will translate consumer needs into actionable user stories for engineering and work daily with the team to accept increments that meet agreed criteria.

In addition to managing value-driven delivery, you will balance new capabilities against reliability, define SLOs and engage Reliability Engineering on budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a backlog in a platform or infrastructure context.
• Delivery against OKRs and measurable adoption or value.
• Backlog management prioritisation by value and risk.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog by value, risk and reliability.
• Link backlog items to strategy and measure outcomes with metrics.
• Translate needs into clear requirements and user stories for engineers.
• Collaborate daily with engineering and accept increments against criteria.
• Balance new capability with reliability, agreeing SLOs and budgets.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate discovery and refinement with reviewed outputs.
• Measure adoption and iterate the roadmap based on evidence.
• Steer delivery with flow metrics and act on them, not just report.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, declining non-value items with reasons.
• Coordinate supplier components to meet internal acceptance criteria.
• Contribute product view to domain roadmaps and platform strategy.
