PingCo Pty is seeking a Senior Voice Engineer to maintain and enhance its global voice platforms. You will configure SBCs, TRE, and OpenSIPS-based systems, support Azure cloud environments, and drive automation with PowerShell scripts.

The role requires strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and Teams Calling, with a focus on security, availability and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering and support teams worldwide.

The Opportunity

The Senior Voice Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting and enhancing PingCo’s global telecommunications infrastructure and voice platforms. The role involves managing complex voice and network solutions, supporting Azure cloud environments, troubleshooting technical issues and driving automation and infrastructure improvements.

The position also contributes to the ongoing development of PingCo’s TCAP platform, delivery of engineering projects and collaboration with Engineering and Support teams to ensure operational stability, security and scalability across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network solutions, including SBCs, TRE, and OpenSIPS-based platforms.
• Support and maintain Azure cloud environments, physical data centres, existing infrastructure, and legacy telco assets to ensure operational stability, security, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate infrastructure and system management tasks.
• Contribute to research, development, and deployment of new products, features, and platform enhancements.
• Escalate technical issues to vendors and carriers, following through to resolution.
• Participate in the on-call roster and provide out-of-hours support when required.
• Manage internal and external technical projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Track tasks and progress using tools such as Asana, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Create and maintain complete technical documentation, including system configurations, build designs, and network diagrams.
• Identify and address documentation gaps to ensure knowledge is current and accessible.
• Support and build capabilities into the TCAP platform, including automation of Teams Calling and supplementary voice services.
• Build knowledge and attain certifications as required; attend training to stay up to date with technologies and industry trends.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex issues and mentor/share technical knowledge with the Support Team.
• And any engineering project tasks as required from time to time.

The Opportunity

• Minimum 5 years of experience in voice engineering, telecommunications, network engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, SBCs, voice routing and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting SBCs, TRE and OpenSIPS-based platforms.
• Experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments, physical data centres and network infrastructure.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with experience automating infrastructure and system management tasks.
• Experience troubleshooting complex voice, network and infrastructure issues, including working with external vendors and telecommunications carriers.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams Calling, Microsoft Teams Phone and related voice services.
• Experience supporting and maintaining business-critical systems, with a focus on availability, security and operational stability.
• Ability to manage technical projects, prioritise competing tasks and deliver work within agreed timelines.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including preparing network diagrams, system configurations and infrastructure designs.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to share technical knowledge with Engineering and Support teams.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and provide out-of-hours support when required.
