Job summary

INflow Federal is seeking a VMware Systems Engineer to design, secure, and optimize virtualized infrastructure for a DoD partner in Springfield, VA. You will lead deployment and sustainment of compute environments across onsite and remote locations.

You will contribute to the security/compliance posture, provide Tier 2/3 support, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to meet mission goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related field, or 4+ years IT experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux/Unix systems, TCP/IP networking, AD/GPO concepts.
• Security/compliance awareness; able to support A&A processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DoD client environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, secure, and optimize virtualized infrastructure for the customer.
• Lead implementation and sustainment of compute environments across on-site and remote locations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for VMware platforms, incidents, and requests per SLA.
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and user guides for systems.
• Lead projects and mentor junior engineers; engage with stakeholders to align with mission goals.
