Qualifications

• Senior-level experience with dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with data center technologies and architectures.
• Ability to analyze TCP/UDP flows using network tools and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and SD-WAN.
• Experience documenting network architectures with MS Visio.
• Strong communication skills for presentations and meetings.
• Ability to learn and evaluate new technologies.
• Initiative and project management for independent work.

Responsibilities

• Support the customer's Data Center network, application delivery, and network security environments.
• Coordinate with project staff for solution development and deployment.
• Collaborate with system engineers to ensure deployments meet goals and timelines.
• Evaluate new network technologies and advise on integration.
• Develop and implement methodologies for LAN/WAN analysis, testing and support.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace components.
• Maintain operations and administer networks, including configurations.
• Ensure integration with the performance and availability framework.
• Coordinate system changes within the change management framework.
• Prepare technical proposals for engineering review boards.
• Perform upgrades in line with the existing network architecture.
• Review upgrade requests and advise on practical approaches.
• Perform long-term O&M activities and Tier 3 troubleshooting.
• Interface with external Tier 4 support and vendors as needed.
• Use network analysis tools to identify and fix problems.
• Prepare troubleshooting procedures for restoration to optimal performance.
• Develop SOPs for technical support staff.
• Provide fault management and performance management support.
