Job summary

Mytra Robotics is looking for a Senior ML Perception Engineer to lead the perception stack for a distributed robot fleet. You will own models for object detection, depth estimation, and scene understanding, plus the data pipeline that produces training datasets and the simulation work to close the gap to real robot data.

You will collaborate across camera, robotics, and safety teams, optimize models for edge compute, and help shape the perception roadmap in a fast‑growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on CV/ML perception experience
• Strong skills in detection, segmentation, depth estimation, and tracking
• Proven production deployment of perception systems on real robots
• Hands‑on with cameras and depth/ToF sensors, data collection and calibration
• Experience with data pipelines, labeling workflows, and dataset curation
• Strong Python and PyTorch, with comfortable C/C++ for on‑device code
• Simulation/sim‑to‑real experience (Isaac Sim, Webots, Gym, MuJoCo)
• Ability to collaborate across software, controls, and safety teams

Responsibilities

• Build and improve perception models for fleet detection and depth estimation
• Own the vision data engine end to end: ETL, data routing, labeling, and training datasets
• Advance simulation and sim‑to‑real: train/evaluate in simulation, validate in software‑in‑the‑loop
• Develop camera/ToF based localization feeding safety systems
• Deploy and integrate perception on robots and publish outputs to downstream systems
• Provide technical leadership: design docs, code reviews, mentorship, roadmap involvement
