Job summary

Mytra is hiring a Senior ML Perception Engineer to lead perception stack development for a distributed robot fleet. You will own models for object detection, depth estimation, and scene understanding, plus the data pipeline, simulation, and on‑robot deployment to support safety and localization.

You will collaborate with camera, robotics, and safety teams, contributing to design, code reviews, and roadmap decisions while scaling perception for real hardware in a fast-growing startup environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping CV/ML perception systems.
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills with comfort in C/C++ for on‑device code.
• Hands‑on experience with cameras and depth/ToF sensors and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve perception models for the fleet, including object detection and depth estimation.
• Own the vision data engine end to end: ETL pipelines, cloud storage, labeling workflows, and curated datasets.
• Advance simulation and sim‑to‑real: train/evaluate in simulation and validate with real data.
• Develop camera and time‑of‑flight based localization feeding the safety system.
• Deploy and integrate perception on robots: optimize models for on‑board compute and monitor across fleet.
• Contribute technical leadership: design docs, code reviews, mentorship, and roadmap input.
