Job summary

RTD is seeking a Senior Virtualization Administrator to design, manage, and optimize VMware-based environments across the enterprise. You will act as SME for virtualization, drive process improvements, and automate where possible to support reliable, scalable systems.

The role requires substantial experience with VMware vSphere/Aria/VCF, NSX, vRA, vSAN, Linux, Windows Server, and scripting. Denver-based on-site position with a strong focus on security and networking.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in design and operational support of VMware vSphere environments using Aria Suite or VCF, including host servers, storage (SAN/vSAN) and NSX security/firewalls.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing and maintaining Linux and Microsoft server operating systems.
• Minimum of three (3) years providing virtualization platform administration and related tools such as NSX, Aria, vRA, vSAN, and vSphere.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing advanced scripting.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements VMware-based virtualization environments and supporting tools to industry best practices.
• Serves as subject matter expert and escalation point for enterprise virtualization issues.
• Defines and improves processes to support a fully managed virtual environment and automates where possible.
• Ensures deployment of beneficial technologies in the virtualization stack, including hyper-converged systems, SDN, storage integrations, cloud solutions and management options.
