Job summary

S2i2, Inc. seeks an experienced virtualization infrastructure lead to manage on-premise and cloud-based DoD/cloud platforms. You will drive upgrades, security, and availability of hosts, hypervisors, and virtual resources across VMware and cloud services.

Responsibilities include automation, patching, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning, with after-hours support and two-hour response expectations. Active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years managing and maintaining virtualized server environments.
• 2+ years leading large-scale multi-disciplinary IT projects.
• Active SECRET clearance with Tier 5 eligibility (IT-I) and DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II+ baseline (Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP).
• DoD 8570/8140 VMware certification (VCP-DCV 2020+ or VCAP 2020+).

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere and vCenter Server 8.x/9.x: installations, upgrades, patching, resources, DRS, clusters, RBAC, certs, licensing, HA.
• Manage ESXi 8.x/9.x hosts: installations, networking, storage (vSAN, SAN, LUNs), host profiles, lockdowns.
• Administer vSAN 8.x/9.x hyper-converged infra: storage policies, encryption, KMS, file services, fault tolerance.
