Job summary

S2i2, Inc. seeks an experienced virtualization and cloud infrastructure specialist to lead the on-site management of DoD-related environments. You will administer VMware vSphere/vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN clusters, while ensuring security, patching, and high availability across on-premises data centers and cloud resources.

The role includes automation, incident management, after-hours support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain DISA STIG compliance and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of progressive experience managing and maintaining virtualized server environments.
• Active SECRET security clearance (or higher) and Tier 5/SSBI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• VMware certification (VCP-DCV 2020+ or VCAP 2020+).
• Willingness to participate in after-hours callback and two-hour response time.
• Ability to travel as approved by COR.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere and vCenter Server 8.x/9.x with patching, DRS, and vSwitches.
• Manage ESXi hosts, vSAN, LUNs, and hardware upgrades for projects and tech refreshes.
• Administer and monitor vSAN 8.x/9.x environments and encryption policies.
• Provide technical support for Cisco UCS, HyperFlex, and Dell PowerEdge platforms.
• Provision and manage VMs across multiple cloud providers; perform deployments and migrations.
• Support DLA cloud infrastructure with cost optimization and monitoring.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Python, YAML, and IaC; version control scripts.
