Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Vibroacoustic Engineer to support New Glenn development and operations. You will analyze vibration, shock, and acoustic environments; process data from ground and flight tests; and lead verification of dynamic environment tests, collaborating with external customers on mission integration.

The role requires a strong fundamentals in vibroacoustic analysis, Matlab proficiency, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for launch vehicle vibroacoustic development/validation/testing.
• Solid fundamentals: PSD, Grms, SPL, OASPL, SRS, VRS, SDOF, FDS, stress/strain/modulus.
• MATLAB proficiency.
• Experience with GitLab and Jira ITS.
• U.S. citizen or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Prediction of launch vehicle vibration, shock, and acoustic environments due to engine, aerodynamic, pyrotechnic, or other sources, using empirical and numerical modeling methods.
• Shock, vibration, and acoustic measurement/data processing and interpretation of ground and flight tests.
• Development, supervision, troubleshooting, and verification/validation of component, sub-system, and system level dynamic environment tests.
• Other high and low frequency loads tasks as required.
• Payload/space vehicle mission integration and interaction with external Customers.
