Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL seeks a vibroacoustic engineer to support the development and operation of launch vehicles. You will provide technical expertise for vibration, shock, and acoustic environments, and contribute to measurement, data processing, and test validation. Collaboration with customers and internal teams is essential.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering, 8+ years of experience, MATLAB proficiency, and familiarity with Wave6/ANSYS/NASTRAN.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for launch vehicle vibroacoustic environments development/validation/testing.
• Solid foundation of vibroacoustic and structural fundamentals (PSD, Grms, SPL, OASPL, SRS, VRS, SDOF).
• MATLAB proficiency.
• Experience with GitLab and Jira ITS.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Prediction of launch vehicle vibration, shock, and acoustic environments using empirical and numerical methods.
• Shock, vibration, and acoustic measurement/data processing from ground and flight tests.
• Development, supervision, troubleshooting, and validation of dynamic environment tests at component/sub-system/system level.
• Other high and low frequency loads tasks as required.
• Payload/space vehicle mission integration and interaction with external Customers.
