Blue Origin in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Vibroacoustic Engineer to support development and operations for New Glenn. You will predict vibration environments, process test data, and verify dynamic tests for space vehicles and facilities, working with a small team in a safety-focused culture.

The role requires at least 8 years in vibroacoustic, MATLAB proficiency, and experience with GitLab/Jira. U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required, with on-site work in California.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for launch vehicle mission high frequency environments development/validation/testing.
• Solid foundations in vibroacoustic and structural fundamentals (PSD, Grms, SPL, OASPL, SRS, VRS, SDOF, FDS).
• MATLAB proficiency.
• Experience with GitLab and Jira ITS.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to inclusion.
• U.S. citizen or eligible status (citizenship/residency requirements).

Responsibilities

• Prediction of launch vehicle vibration, shock, and acoustic environments using empirical and numerical methods.
• Measurement/data processing and interpretation of ground and flight tests.
• Development and validation of dynamic environment tests for components and systems.
• Other high and low frequency loads tasks as required.
• Payload/space vehicle mission integration and customer interaction.
