Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver seeks a vibro-acoustic engineer to define and verify environments for launch vehicle and ground system components. The role involves modeling high-frequency shock, vibration and acoustic environments using data from flight measurements and ground tests.

The successful candidate will perform system- and component-level analyses, support qualification activities for Airborne Systems and Development projects, and help develop data acquisition systems for measurement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Interest in Dynamic Environments such as shock, acoustics, random vibration or signals analysis.
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Course work in signals analysis and processing, acoustics, shock or mechanical vibrations is highly desired.
  • Course work with Finite Element Modeling (FEM) is highly desired.
  • Experience with Linux operating system environment.

Responsibilities

  • Vibro-acoustic system level and component level analyses.
  • Support component qualifications for Airborne Systems and Development projects.
  • Develop and maintain data acquisition systems used for environments measurement.
  • Support anomaly identification and resolution.
