Job summary

Crowley in Pascagoula, MS is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to lead the engineering operations for our vessel fleet. The role focuses on overseeing maintenance, repairs, and safe performance of the engineering systems on assigned ships, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and cost control.

You will develop repair specifications, manage vendors, coordinate dry dockings, monitor budgets, and guide vessel crews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or related field.
• USCG license and/or Maritime graduate preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in marine engineering aboard vessels.
• Strong knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, USCG and ABS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and safe operations of engineering on assigned vessels.
• Develop repair specifications and manage vessel repairs.
• Liaise with Chief Engineer on maintenance needs.
• Manage contractor selection, contract management and project costs.
• Oversee vessel certification inspections with external/internal customers.
• Plan dry dockings and equipment overhauls.
• Ensure spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Support regulatory inspections and safety compliance.
