Job summary

Crowley is seeking a Marine Superintendent to ensure safe vessel operations in line with our Safety Management System and applicable standards. You will coordinate with Operations, Technical Superintendents, and other departments to maintain vessel readiness.

The role requires supervision of crew, inspection duties, and coordination with maintenance teams. Travel is frequent, and on-call responsibilities apply to support regulatory inspections and audits.

Qualifications

• Academy degree in deck or engineering is required or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from a Maritime Academy may substitute for the degree.
• 5–7 years in petroleum, cargo handling, or vessel operation desired; 5–10 years at chief engineer or master level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels are crewed, operated, and maintained to regulatory and company standards.
• Travel frequently to multiple locations with extended stays away from homeport.
• Supervise vessel Master; focus on crew management and development.
• Inspect vessels for compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
