Job summary

Pratt & Whitney’s EHRO – East Hartford Repair Operations is seeking an experienced Repair Process Engineer to join our Engineering team. This fast-paced role requires project management and technical shop-floor support to complete long-term projects and daily operations.

You will interact with shop-floor workers and cross-functional staff to identify bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement, and ensure smooth integration of new processes and equipment into production.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3+ years in engineering or related field; or Bachelor's with 5+ years in relevant industry; or Associate's with 7+ years; or 9+ years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor with equipment and operators.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, troubleshooting process issues as they come up.
• Develop, refine, and document processes to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.
• Work closely with inspectors, operators, quality engineers, and other cross-functional partners to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Collect and analyze data to understand trends and recommend changes.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring smooth integration into production.
• Support industrialization and qualification of new machines and technologies, including equipment commissioning, process validation, and capability studies.
