Job summary

Affim is seeking a practical, proactive transactional attorney to join our Vendor Legal team. You will negotiate and draft a wide range of vendor agreements and partner with cross-functional teams to scale with company growth in a remote-first environment.

You will bring a JD and active U.S. state bar, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong drafting and negotiation skills, with exposure to marketing tech, fintech, or payments.

Qualifications

• JD and active state bar membership required.
• 5+ years of transactional experience in-house at a tech company or top law firm.
• Exceptional drafting skills.
• Experience in marketing tech, adtech, fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Experience supporting cross-border or multi-jurisdictional transactions (US/Canada/UK/Australia).
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes (GDPR, CCPA, APPs, PIPEDA, GLBA).
• Proven ability to manage high deal volume with quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of vendor agreements (marketing tech, technology services, cloud services, SaaS, data platforms, contractors, leases, payments).
• Design and implement playbooks, templates, negotiation guides to improve efficiency at scale.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Product, Finance, Security, Privacy, and other teams.
• Serve as a proactive business partner to stakeholders across the organization.
• Develop training to enable self-serve on routine commercial legal matters.
