Job summary

Affim is seeking a practical, proactive transactional attorney to join the Vendor Legal team. You will negotiate a broad set of vendor agreements, create playbooks and templates, and partner with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, and other squads to move deals quickly while maintaining quality.

You will design training resources to empower business partners to self-serve on routine commercial legal matters and help rebuild the Vendor Legal team from the ground up in a remote-first,

Qualifications

• JD and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house at a technology company or top law firm.
• Exceptional drafting skills.
• Experience in marketing tech, adtech, fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Experience supporting global or multi-jurisdictional transactions.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes (CCPA, GDPR, APPs, PIPEDA, GLBA).
• Ability to manage high deal volume with quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of a wide range of vendor agreements: marketing tech, technology services, cloud services, SaaS, data platform, contractor, lease, and payment processing.
• Design and improve playbooks, templates, and guides to enable scalable operations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Privacy teams to provide guidance.
• Act as a proactive business partner across the organization.
• Develop training and resources to empower partners to self-serve on routine legal matters.
