Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Portland, OR is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer III to lead vehicle-level integration of 3rd party powertrains into our platforms. You will align customer value criteria with program goals, guide cross-functional teams, and drive feature and software integration to deliver a consistent customer experience.

The role requires 7+ years in vehicle engineering, systems integration, or technical program management, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 7+ years in vehicle engineering, systems integration, or technical program management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical strategy at vehicle level.
• Strong knowledge of automotive and software development processes, quality gates, and lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to mediate technical decisions and progress in multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Turn Vehicle Powertrain Strategy into Action: align powertrain programs with customer value criteria and business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure clarity of integration requirements for seamless 3rd party powertrain integration.
• Drive feature and software integration to deliver a consistent customer experience across products.
• Ensure platform readiness for launch and vehicle-level sign-off for integration.
